General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) is Governmental Company belongs to Iraqi Ministry of Transportation It was founded on October 9, 1919 GCPI manage and operate 5 major ports in Iraq 1. Umm Qasr North Port 2. Umm Qasr South Port 3. Khur Al-Zubair Port 4. Abu Floos Port 5. Maqil Port 6. Al-Faw Grand Port (Under Construction) Besides two offshore Ports for Oil Export. and 4 single point mooring (SPM) GCPI is concerned with the management of Iraqi ports and navigation in the territorial waters and carries out maintenance and dredging in the navigational channels that the company manages.
